Nastassja Ownby, born April 4, 1987 was one of the most loving individuals I have ever had the privelege to know. She was the best drummer we had ever seen, her grades were excellent, and she had a genuine love for God. Unfortunately, our worlds were shattered when we heard she had been in a car accident on the way back from a Hawthorne Heights concert and was in critical condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Stasha remained on life support in a chronic vegetative state for several months and was eventually sent to a nursing home, where she finally let go and slipped out of this world; taking with her
a piece of each heart she touched. We will never forget you Stasha. God loves you and so do we.

I will always remember the last day I saw you before the accident. You were at Wal-mart. I hadn't seen you for months, but still your last words to me were, "I love you, man". That last day I saw you at the hospital, my last words to you were "I love you stash". I always will.
